I have an American bulldog and I adore her! She was a rescue that had been in the streets. She was a skeleton held together by her skin. She is now a 100# girl. She's a good family dog! I do love the bully breeds! Had a boxer that was a great family dog

Bull terriers, American Staffordshire terriers and Staffordshire bull terriers are my favorites! Also love a well bred American Bully but they can be a bit exaggerated.

I've had an American Bulldog and a couple Bullmastiffs and I love them all. Bullmastiffs were bred to be gamekeepers dogs (as you mentioned) and knock people down and not really put their teeth into them too much. The Bullmastiffs were great and protective but the AB was the better family protector. Even after a lot of socialization and growing up with 3 other dogs she was still somewhat aggressive towards other dogs, especially same sex dogs.

My Molly, a rescue in the US, is an American Staffordshire mix per DNA testing (55% American Staffordshire Terrier, 37% American Pit Bull terrier) however, she is a spitting image of the #7 Staffordshire Bull Terrier shown in your video. Molly weighs 65 pounds of muscle which is way more than the 24-34lbs range for the Staffordshire Bull terrier that is primarily found in the UK.

I like the French Bulldogs. They are so small and cute. I have a question. I had watched the Diane Jessup interview video a few years ago. She once wrote an article on why dogs like the AmStaff, Staffy, and Pit Bull are called Terriers. She basically said it had to do with "doggy politics" and that they are actually Bulldogs. Has anyone else heard this before? I have heard it said they are Bull and Terriers, but then another guy named Richard Stratton says that they Bull and Terrier title is really only for the Bull Terrier, while dogs like the Pit Bull are the old bull baiting Bulldog. It is all kind of confusing. 🤔
