This seems like a good vehicle for small families.

The cleanest hydraulics bay I've ever seen in over 50 years as an aircraft mechanic.

"Slowly lower the flaps, landing gear and open the canopy"

The slowly part is key here... if your engine goes and your hyd pump isn't running, you will have to get pumping fast!
You want the flaps down to reach a landing site, gear down to land and canopy open to run away from the airframe afterwards!

Back in 1990, I used to work on these.
Thank you, Bill Sulivan (RIP)

My brother in law was a carrier instructor on the t-28 way back in the late 60s.

My Dad trained in one around 1956, he went on to fly the F9f6, fj4 & f8u2 crusader.

A friend of mine flies the T-28 here in Austria 🇦🇹 Europe and the owner of this plane is Red Bull. The hole fleet is stationed in Salzburg. 2 Weeks ago he flew very deep across my house and the sound of the engine was so fantastic. Greetings from Linz Austria 🇦🇹 Europe! 😎👍😺💪🏔🍺🍀🐺

We picked up one of these at Pacific Union College years ago from military surplus for like $1000 bucks, kept it in the Aviation program for a few years, and then sold it for a LOT more than $1000 bucks! I wonder if it's the same one.

I just bought a T28 about a month ago. And I love it. The traffic in Atlanta has gotten totally out of hand to commute to and from work. I live less than a mile from Fulton airport, and I work by close to another airfield. Use to take me 2.5 hours to get to work. Now, it only takes me 15-20 minutes, depending on clearance. And about 1.5 hrs for a walk around weather, pre-flight check, and clearance for taxi. So, I save roughly 30 minutes on my commute now. 😊

These trainers are very fun. I rode in a T-6 when the Commemorative Airforce came to our local airport. Ill do it again if given the chance. 😊
