This is exactly why Mario only utilizes the max stretched position while getting laid out by Leon Edwards in the Ultimate Bedroom Cardio Fighting Championship

Also there have been several studies since 2018 that show that the stretched position under load on a muscle with that tension increases muscle growth. And yes it also shows it does help prevent injuries because the pause at the bottom helps the ligaments and tendons in joints strengthen as well as making it more comfortable to be flexible and Mobile in those positions and yes doing slow eccentrics and concentrix you could still gain an injury because you're doing heavier loads or starting a new exercise that is uncomfortable to your body. Your narrow sightedness that is incorrect

Yeah, being a body builder, having a PHD and teaching at a University, he doesn't know anything. I'm going to listen to a 20-year old mumble mouth! 😂😂

I wonder how it feels being a sidekick influencer

aifitnessadvisor AI fixes this. Dr Mike Israetel's Yap Session

But there are studies on holding flyes in a stretch causing the same growth as actual lifting. And with a bench you get closer to failure faster from dynamic movement.

This has to be rage bait im convinced bro.

Regardless of if not being very fast the statement is correct that it reduces the chance of injury it also by pausing reduces the amount of weight you have to lift for the same stimulus thereby reducing chance of injury again. Having the two second pause ensures that the lifter gets to an effective stretched position to ensure standardisation of the exercise variation and therefore improves the quality of the eccentric portion of the lift. You can’t rapidly bounce out of a movement and limit growth factor if your goal is to pause at the bottom

It allow you to avoid using bounce and elasticity, that, as you both said, reduce injury risk, but also bring more tension of the muscle by making use of the elasticity impossible. It also allow you to check your form and reduce a potential swinging on dips and pull ups for example. I am a big fan of deadstop for strength.

All you do is spread hate and negativity the worst thing someone can do is believe they can’t learn anything from others. Many if not ALL of the people you criticize are in better shape than you and in one way or another can teach you something. Stop spreading hate and try to smile a little ❤.

Bro ur a 20 year old with no job fell off and are calling out phd scientists that have proven those methods to work 😂
Thomaselliotakahusn
Science and believing what makes sense are whole different things.
Ferlian
What he means with the third one is that often people on bench will bounce it off their chest, when to promote the most muscle growth you need to be in a stretched position, and there is science to prove that. So pausing basically ensures that you are gaining the most optimal amount of muscle from the exercise

It’s called sheering forces, and they’re at their highest in the change of direction. We know more sheering force can lead to more injury. A pause doesn’t inherently cancel this if you were to explosively heave it off your chest, but a pause isn’t a bad way at all to lessen the sheering forces.
As far as all the stretch hypertrophy stuff I dunno, but pretending a pause doesn’t have research to validate its efficacy is simply untrue.
If you’re somebody who just works out a couple days a week, it might not matter. But if you’re a bodybuilder doing dozens of sets weekly, it is very rational to see it as beneficial to longevity.
nbarealtalker
Bro there are multiple studies on lengthened partials.

YES BRO YOU CAN CRITIC HIM AS MUCH AS YOU WANT, BECAUSE HE IS A PRO IN THE BODYBUILDING WORLD AND COULD NOT CARE LESS ABOUT YOUR CRITICS. BECAUSE HE HAS STUDIED THESE THINGS AND APPLIED TO REAL PEOPLE AND IF HE SAYS IT, IT'S BECAUSE IT IS
flaviooq
The reason why you are less likely to get an injury doing this, is that you can only lift lighter weights

It’s not Dr Marlon Israetel, it’s Dr Marlon Adesanya get it right Martin 😂

It's almost like you didn't listen to what he said.
