dedollarisation is a good initiative to help stabilise currencies. Aggressive speculation in currencies favour Western currencies at the expense of emerging countries like South Africa. Depreciation of their currencies erode the purchasing power of their citizens.

It matters because it's a counterweight and the only viable alternative to the U$ led organizations such as G7 and NATO. It also matters because it's soon to be expanded with more than 20 new nations already signed in for participation and more than 40 nations interested in joining.

China is setting a new standard of statehood and developing countries that know this are now benefitting from it via the BRI. More relatively independent developing countries are now observing and learning how 'socialism with Chinese characteristics' is doing a much better job of lifting people out of poverty and meeting their social and cultural needs. This is in stark contrast with relatively advanced profit driven neo-liberal forms of governance that for centuries have colonised and condemned developing countries to poverty. It is now most likely that the Chinese model of a modernised socialism with national characteristics will underpin the emerging new world order. This is why the US led collective West now regards China as a major threat to their neo-liberal, colonialist rules based order and way of life. China must now remain vigilant because a modern socialism with national characteristic is the next logical stage of our human socio-economic development.

Tipping Point in mankind history. If Brics enlarged its members then I expect MORE nations will wish to JOIN too. As a " BAIT and SECURITY " for members nations will be the introduction of the BRCIS currency which cannot be SANCTION and WEAPONISED by WESTERN nations. If BRICS accepts Saudi, Iran, IRAQ and Venezuela, then BRCIS will Command over 70% of Global Oil production. Which can be used for preferential treatment for its members.
