Nothing better than a warm bowl of poha with dahi to start your weekend on a good note. Recipe by @RekhaKakkar #Poha #Shorts
I am sharing with you here a few tips how I make this healthy dish even better so that I as a predisposed person for diabetic can enjoy it.
🌿To bring down the GI I add a lot of fiber in the form of veggies.
🌿Added sprouts here which have fiber + protein
🌿Lemon juice for better absorption of iron from poha
🌿Peanuts and for crunch as well as good fat
🌿Ghee adds good fat which further brings down glycemic load and keeps you full for longer.
You could also add peas as well.
For the perfect texture simply rinse poha in the strainer. Never wash it in a lot of water.
If it remains dry after cooking sprinkle a few drops of water and cover with lid for 2 minutes you will get perfectly soft fluffy and moist poha.

Green chillie

Turmeric powder
