Beautiful Kanazawa! I have visited once in Summer and once in Winter. Both absolutely stunning- especially Kenrokuen in Winter looking like a Winter wonderland. There is also a craft museum near the garden which is lovely to visit and learn about Kaga Yusen (a way to colour kimono fabric). A night tour there on the bus is cool too.

I solo traveled Kanazawa city just a few weeks ago. Boring city. You can probably see the greatest hits in 1 day. The Chayas are quite small. As is the samurai quarter. However, compared to Osaka and Kyoto, the market is quite large and seafood is great and cheap. Modern museum was closed. Just goes to show the company makes the difference.

Wonderful video. Your channel is great. The only thing that makes me sink and feel awful is noticing just how attached to face masks people still are. I would love to return to Japan next year but it upsets me to see people still hiding behind these silly, anti-social face curtains. The mask attachment is due to those eternal weak spots in human psychology, our changing social landscape (ie; people living atomised existences, increasingly dependent on social media and the internet) not science and necessary, warranted fear etc. Very sad to see how easy it is to control and condition otherwise rational, sensible humans. We've been triple vaccinated and most of us have had Covid so what precisely are folks waiting for when it comes to binning their masks? Viruses are around forever.
