So he thinks the problem is finding daycare vs. being able to pay for daycare.

So if grandma or grandpa can't take care of my kids, maybe my neighbor is willing to get certified to take care of kids and maybe, what? My neighbor might take care of my kids for free, now that JD Vance empowered them to take classes and get certified?!

And Trumps response to this same question elsewhere was, "lots of tariffs". 🤦‍♀️

WTF is happening?! Do they really not understand the question? Are they really this out of touch?!

How bout a real solution like letting families deduct the entire cost of daycare from their yearly income when both parents have to work either full time or part time. Or let companies deduct the cost if they pay for their employees kids who have to go to daycare. Now thats a solution… not putting the burden of raising children again on grandma and grandpa. Vance has no f ing clue anymore about the issues of ordinary Americans. His answer sounds just like a typical rich guy who’s totally out of touch with real reality.

He’s assuming that hard-working young couples haven’t already tapped into grandma and grandpa. What happens when grandma and grandpa get sick? Who’s gonna watch the kids then, are we supposed to call up somebody in the government and say please send me over a surrogate grandma? And who is going to pay these grandma and grandpa‘s? Oh yeah, that’s right. They’re not supposed to get paid because their family.
