Think about when it was built. During the depression. When money was money was none existent. This was a true work of art and love of a father to his presous little girl. Truly amazing and touching.

This is weirdly comforting like imagine all your favorite belongings resting beautifully in time forever

It's so sad that good parents like this have their little daughter taken away too soon, while some abuse the shit out of their kid and should not be parents.

The upkeep is amazing. Looks like it was built recently. Truly amazing the fathers dedication to his little girl.

Her fathers heart must have been breaking while he was building his daughters resting place and forever home

From the looks of it, this child got everything she wanted in life except time.

It looks so clean, looks like it was just built. Doesn't look old at all.

My dad is buried in this cemetery. The house has looked this way as long as I can remember. The cemetery is very well taken care of.

Wow the mom and dad were only 17 and 20 when they had Nadine. Marriage and families were started so young back then.

A very modern "build" for 1933, well done dad. All of her play toys kept as they were. xx

This is honestly so amazing. The fact her parents were buried with her too is so beautiful

So when she was born her parents were 17 and 20, and when she passed they were 21 and 24. I’m 23 and it’s so difficult imagining having to go through this at such a young age, my love to this family.

I had dipteria (not sure of the spelling) as a child, at the age of 5, way back in 1953. I was not expected to live and spent months in the hospital under quarantine. I am now 72 years of age.

I lost my daughter 3 years ago and I understand what any father would do for their daughters. The pain never goes away either! Ever!

I am a resident of Lanett, Alabama. We consider Nadine's grave as a local monument in our community. No matter what, No one would ever think of doing anything to vandalize or disrespect her resting place. It serves as a reminder that we all experience tragedy at some time or another. All the citizens of community understand that people grieve differently so her parents took comfort in knowing that they granted her wish even though she died. It is wonderful that so many are touched by the story behind her beautiful dollhouse. The Bible book Ecclesiastes 7:1-4 reveals how important it is to meditate on life by observing the distress afflicted on those who have lost a loved one in death. How proud we are here in Lanett, Alabama to be able to share something meaningful to others.

This is a playhouse full of the little girl’s dolls. Her parents must have loved her so much to build such a beautiful playhouse. Beautiful memorial, yet heartbreaking to lose a child.

This is so heartbreaking & yet so beautiful ❤️ My Daughter was only a baby when she died in 1989. She never even had a first Doll. But I bought her her first & only doll & I buried it with her in her tiny casket. It had on a pink & white beautiful dress with lacy little booties just like my Daughter. I can only hope that she's playing with her dolly in heaven while waiting for me to arrive ❤️ What a loving Daddy this little sweetie had ❤️ Thank You for posting this ❤️ If my little girl were still alive she'd be 32 in January. I still count the years 💔

It doesn't look like a doll house, it looks like a play house.
A moment frozen in time. What a sad thing, a memorial of grief.
