Why are they shows these now when they showed the finals first?!

It's a manner of speech. For example, if you try to bait a dragon punch on someones wake up you are "giving them respect" because you feel your opponent has the guts to take that risk. And if you throw someone over and over, your not giving the opponent any respect because you don't think he can tech the throw. It isn't exactly literal.

I don't understand why commentators were talking about "respecting" or "disrespecting" each other. The whole point of this game is to land punches and kicks and win, whatever means necessary, and an extra kick or punch in the corner is disrespectful? WTF?

Rule #1: If you do a random super, ultra, or EX move, you will be punished for it

Ultradavid needs to stop commentating. This was a really good example of quality commentating. Seth and James Chen only talk about the players and the play happening on screen. Ultradavid always inserts "well I would've..." "if it was me I would..." "oh! I wouldn't have..." "Me me me... look what I can do." I hate listening to him, all he does is brag about how much he knows.
Seth, james chen, and andri are the best commentators. Hell even gootecks and mike ross are better than Ultradavid.
