IIRC, Ulanzi makes a plate that works on the F38 and the PD Capture Clip. You turn it 90 degrees, as needed, to fit.

Exactly what I was looking for! I use PD straps but that tripod is just too expensive. But if I can keep using the PD straps with the Ulanzi plate and have a quick release tripod that would be perfect. Thanks for making this video!

Which tripod is sturdier ? Ulanzi or Peak Design ? The Peak Design was very unstable in the wind, compared to my other tripods. One YouTuber described the Peak Design as flimsy. I ordered the Ulanzi F38. Hopefully, it has a better balance of stability, portability, functionality, and durability. Kudos to Peak Design for bringing their concept to market. They’ve had time to improve it. Hopefully, they’ll hit back strong. I really like them, and I truly enjoy shopping in their San Francisco store.

Well that sucks! I was hoping to smoothly transition from my Peak design clip to the F38 tripod. That's the whole reason I ordered it! I will need to cancel my order now. How dumb that they created a product that is not standard arca swiss compatible!

Does anyone else see condensation (in between the camera bottom & plate) when using the Peak Design's plate? I've only experienced this with the PD plate. I usually keep an L-bracket on and I've never had condensation before. I think it's due to the design of the "ridges" in the PD plate. No big deal / just curious.

Will the Ulamzi plate work with a peak design capture clip?

Unfortunately the zero F38 is not standard arca swiss, or else it would be the perfect tripod. I had enough headaches with non-standard systems and bought a $200 part to convert my tripod fluid drag head to arca swiss so that everything would all be interchangeable. I won't make the mistake of marrying into a proprietary system again.

GREAT Video! would be great to know the compatibility with PGYTECH Plate. That's because I prefer beetle camera clip vs ulanzi and Peakdesign ad now I use PGYTECH ARCA-TYPE QUICK RELEASE CLAMP on my Zero Y that covers the level... THANKS

I currently use the PD plate on the Zero-Y because the opposite doesn't work, but the PD plate doesn't lock in place on the Zero-Y which makes me nervous that if I don't tighten it enough the camera will just fall out. For the F38, does the plate fit into the PD capture clip? If I can get the F38 plate working on the PD capture clip I will get the ballhead upgrade
