Time to bid farewell to the Voge … but not before I try it out off-road. Well, it is an adventure bike, after all!

Having run the bike for the last five months and done some good hard miles on it I’ve learned a lot. See below for previous updates on the bike and a breakdown of the chapters can be found here:

I took delivery of my new Voge 900 the other week after watching your reviews ( you should tell your sponsors!) - so far hugely impressed- what an amazing piece of kit for the money.

Really interesting and useful series of videos on this bike. I'm very tempted to get one! Thank you Dan

I have followed your series Dan, and back in November I ordered the Black Knight Model, it arrives some time in April, so I get the 2025, but you mention the luggage, the bike is cheaper at £8450, and you have the choice now to add the luggage, so you get the bike cheaper if you opt out of the luggage,
The reason I have had to wait these months is because of the demand for this bike,
Thank you for your honest reviews and I really cannot wait to get mine.

We were saying the same when Japanese bikes first come on the market and how cheap they were now look at them.
Got to be great value for money thanks for a great review

You are by far the one channel that has tested the Voge the most and given us all in the uk a good idea of its ability and what have you. I have also last week taken mine off-road and yes, it feels heavy, but I am completely new to off-road. After a couple of mods, mine is around 6-8Kg lighter, but I’m not sure it’s enough haha. Thank you for your review and opinions. Lastly, what is that lane you tested the off-road on so I can have a look at those vistas?

"the point of adventure bikes" . I used to have largely sports touring bikes but they began to be fazed out by manufacturers I favour of these new ADV bikes (a few years ago) so I took a chance and bought one..I thought the Sports touring bike was perfect but these ADV bikes are the real do all bike for most situations. With today's awful roads they are ideal, luggage capacity, ideal, comfort ideal, mile munching ideal, riding position ideal..they are the motorcycling equivalent to 4x4/cross over/SUV very handy and cover a multitude of uses.

I like your reviews Dan. I think your objectivity is helped by being relatively new to the pastime. Combined with intelligent analysis it should be a winning formula for you- at least I hope so.

A suggestion for you. If you wanted to try a Chinese bike on a long distance journey with a good amount of doable off road look at the ACT and see if you can blag one of the new CF Moto 890s. They are a copy of the KTM890. With the saddle fuel tank they have low C of G which adds a lot of confidence off road.

The ACT (Adventure Country Tracks) publish routes through out Europe for big adventure bikes. Unlike the TET where you need a lot of skill or an Enduro bike, or both.

Certainly looks ok, i think out of all the Chinese bikes, that moto morini xcape looks the best. 700cc version on the way, and even a dealership here in Northern Ireland. Still not 100% id take the plunge though. Thanks for the review 👍👍

Another great video. Thanks. I'm Seriously considering getting one. I had a short hour long test ride earlier this year and was very impressed. On a separate note, what jacket are you wearing in the video? I really like Furygan gear and need a new textile jacket. Thanks in advance.

I was out riding yesterday, and I saw a fair few of these, so It must be selling pretty well.

Excellent series of reviews. I sense these bikes are a major threat to the established manufacturers because, if the quality holds up, they will seriously reshape our perception of acceptable price and value. At roughly half the cost of the equivalent BMW it also makes re-sale prices less of an issue. Not many people do the proper maths, but If we reckon the BMW might lose say 40% over 3 or 4 years, the Voge could depreciate by an astonishing 80% and you'd still be no worse off - actually, you'd be 'quids in' because you've not shelled out an extra £9K to BMW or paid the interest on that from a loan. So, all in all, seriously tempted with one of these to go back and forth to France on, which I do pretty regularly. And good to see the Voge network expanding here in the UK - there's a new dealership just opened down the road in Haverfordwest... mmmm???.

Just ordered the 2025, getting towards the back end of april, price was £9200 with luggage and around £200 for OTR, so in my eyes still a bargain especially with the upgrades to the abs and things

I'm not yet sold on bikes manufactured in China. We need to see 5 or 6 years of these bikes in use, their reliability past 20, 000 miles and the experience of dealers before the low prices are worth it. Brands such as Royal Enfield have had years of hard work put in to get where they are.

Thank you for this series on the Voge DS900X. I've really enjoyed and appreciated your honest and open views over what is a decent amount of time and distance. What is the name of the trail you were on, it looks amazing?

Great insight on the Voge, can you tell me where that trail is as North Yorkshire is on my doorstep.

I own the exact same bike and totally disagree with the very minor bitts your picking at the stand and the indicator swich are not a problem at all. The only real downfall i can pick with the bike is the throttle on/of jerkyness it is a bit annoying but definitely not the end of the world whether they iron this out of a few more miles sort this who knows.ive done all updates and throttle reset its all helped but still there albeit not as bad but on the whole its a fantastic bike

I've heard reports that the availability and cost of parts from these Chinese manufacturers can be more expensive than mainstream ones along with the length of time it takes to get repairs done. I appreciate you can't answer if this is correct or not but it is a concern.
