Very nice thanks my memory is of how rocky that easy looking down path is underfoot it was a bit relentless I was not far from 60 at the time. The views gorgeous and a very nice route. I guess youd call that the traditional route.

Love Buttermere. Nice meal in the Fish Inn?? Great walking. Luckily back up that way in April.

Great walk other side. Park near Rannerdale, head up to Grasmoor via Lad Hows, then onto Grisedale Pike via Sandhill and Hopegill Head, turn around and head back down via Whiteside. It's a cracking walk I promise 👍

Beautiful Christine. You cant get much better scenery than the top of Haystacks and around the Lake. Just Gorgeous. I noticed when you had your cake break 🥧😋 there was a good view over to the bothy which looked quite busy with people. One path ive never used but hopefully will on my next visit. Have you ever been to Scale Force Waterfall. Definately worth a visit and a good path up the side up to the High Stile Ridge. A steep ascent but the walk along the ridge is fantastic, on a clear day anyway! Thanks for taking us along Christine, another super video 🙂

Amazing video! I’m heading up to Buttermere in 2 weeks time and going to attempt this walk. Do you happen to have a route you could share? I’m quite new to hiking and feel more confident if I have a route to follow. I have a paper map and subscribed to OS Maps. Thanks for sharing your experience!

Great video. My favourite Haystacks walk was starting from Loweswater village along Mosedale, over the High Stile ridge, camping on Haystacks and next day back alongside the lakes.
