Menacing Molly (2023) | Spirit Halloween Animatronic Prop Demo

Hey everyone! Here’s my first “new” for 2023 prop demo of this year! This demo is of the 2023 model Menacing Molly animatronic.
Menacing Molly has returned to Spirit Halloween this year in celebration of both Halfway to Halloween, as well as Spirit’s 40th anniversary this year. She was originally sold in stores at Spirit in 2017 and 2018, and online in 2019. She is now being sold online only for 2023.
The prop resembles a young girl on a swing facing away from you. When activated, the figure will rock back and forth on the swing while singing or speaking a short phrase, before bending backwards to reveal her pale frightening face, detailed with various cuts and veins, light up eyes, and sharp teeth.
I’ve always thought Menacing Molly was a really cool prop. She was very popular at Spirit during her time there, so it’s fitting that they brought her back for their 40th anniversary season. This new model looks to be good quality and is true to the original, with the main difference only being a little less detail on the face than the 2017-2018 models had. (With all Menacing Molly models including this one, I’d recommend weighing her down a little bit towards the prop’s front to help the mechanism out with lifting the character up when resetting, avoiding unnecessary wear and stress on the gears and motor.)
Menacing Molly can work great in a variety of themes and is sure to be a hit at any Halloween display, home haunt or party.
