Justice and the Death of the Wicked

On July 27, an Iranian-made missile launched from Lebanon hit a children's soccer field in Israel's remote Druze village, Majdal Shams. Twelve children were killed, and dozens more were injured.

Israel vowed to respond to the deadliest flashpoint in the war since 10/7 while fears of a direct conflict between Israel and Iran grow. Following the Majdal Shams attack, Israel assassinated Hezbollah's top commander, Fuad Shukr, and Hamas's political bureau chairman, Ismail Haniyeh.

Ismael Haniyeh was a former UNRWA teacher who was imprisoned three separate times by Israel for his participation in the multitude of bombings of the Second Intifada, serving less than four years in prison. Haniyeh was elected in Gaza during the 2006 election where Hamas took control of that territory and then waged a bloody civil war against Fatah to kick them out. Haniyeh on January 31, 2018 was listed by the US State Department as a “Specially Designated Global Terrorist.” As the chairman of the Hamas Politburo, he was materially involved in the negotiations, financing, and planning of Hamas’ military/terrorist activities with agents of chaos such as China, Egypt, Hezbollah, Iran, Lebanon, North Korea, Qatar, Russia, South Africa, and Turkey. He was far more of a terrorist than a statesman. Haniyeh was an Islamofascist who was an obstacle to peace as a terrorist leader. Remember, Israel has been most effective maintaining deterrence by fast-hitting and aggressive military action against enemies who are committed to the destruction of the Israeli state and its people.
