It's really tragic this song. Explains how CatNap's obsession with the Prototype was so unhealthy and addictive that when DogDay tried to prevent the other Smiling Critters from going down the same path as well, CatNap took that as a sign of betrayal from someone he considered his best friend.

The poor feline was so engrossed in his obsession with pleasing his "saviour" that he lost sight of who his true friends were, and considered the Prototype as his one and only true friend despite the fact that he was clearly using him for his own greedy intentions.

CatNap was too blind to see the truth and turned his back on DogDay when he made it clear he stood against the Prototype's beliefs, and prevented the others each from turning into what CatNap had already become; a blind, oblivious, obsessive follower of a fraud who puts on the act of a saviour to trick others into carrying out his dirty work.

Little did DogDay know of the tragic fates that would befall all his friends after they tried rebelling against the Prototype, and the torture CatNap would subject him to when they were the only Critters left, as revenge for "betraying" the friendship they once had together.
