Yes the audience will forgive bad lighting for good content/ story. However your had 1 or more hours free not worrying about survival and surviving that a person making sub 18k doesn't have.
If we had UBI - this would be true but it's not and it's the same inequity of employers or schools wanting doctors notes to excuse absences. It's a privilege a wealth privilege.
