Dimash is always on my list of recommendations, and you Dears always represent! This performance by Dimash of the 1989 Japanese classic at the Tokyo Jazz festival in 2021 truly shows this expressive talent. This is the second time I've seen him perform this song, the first in Chinese (link at the end of the video).

A young Japanese man reacting to this song commented: He knows how to break your heart beautifully!

Holy…. I’m still amazed by Dimash even though we all know what he’s capable of

You can hear pins drop around the world when he quiets down... his command of the audience is amazing, even from little handheld screens.

In the last concerts he went back to his more classical style. What I love is his versatility and ability to change things up, so that he is never boring.

He controls his core and nasal pitches so nicely, tight awareness of how his body is resonating as he goes through the piece. Really interesting and lovely.

Dimash is killing me by how much passion and truth he put in every songs and notes that he sings, he always take them personal and bring them to a whole new dimension and level of majesty....

Please don't go/ Ikanaide
Nothing visible, nothing
I have been crying throughout
Not because I feel sorrowful
But because of the delight of feeling your warmth

Ah… Please don't go away, please don't go away
Please don't ever ever let us separate
Ah… Please don't go away, please don't go away
Let's remain this way

Someday my heart, someday
Will be somewhere afar

That everything will turn into memory
Though it's better not to know
Though it's better not to know

Ah… Please don't go away, please don't go away
Whenever it is, don't let us separate
Ah… Please don't go away, please don't go away
Let's remain this way

Ah… Please don't go away, please don't go away
Please don't ever ever let us separate
Ah… Please don't go away, please don't go away
Let's remain this way

Dimash has been congratulated by the japanese composer of the song by the many ways of pronouncing IKANAIDE (Don't leave me) in japanese, language he doesn't speak (nor chinese)

Thank you so much Elisabeth! It is my favourite (and the first I’ve ever heard) song by Dimash and I am so glad you commented on it. Listening to Dimash with your comments is such a treat:) and it always helps me to appreciate his art even more:)

Hi, I have been waiting for your analysis and comments on Dimash's 2nd version of this song for some time. Finally, it has arrived and I really appreciate your honest admiration on his work behind this version as he had to master J Japanese vowel sounds after mastering Chinese version which he has been singing on big stages quite a few times by now. Being a Japanese person, I can guarantee to anyone who does not speak our language that he was incredibly authentic and yet really sophisticated in his own way. I for od knew he would this original song some time and he did it so majestically. He perhaps made Koji Tamaki proud as a composer of this heart-breaking song.

And remember Dears, in January on the 5th Anniversary of SOS on The Singer 2017, Dimash made a video for his fans. He thanked us for staying with him, and promised that if we kept following him, he had amazing things in store for us. He basically was saying “You ain’t seen nothing yet” 🤯🤯🤯

In the Prague concert, he started this song in Japanese then half way through he instantly switched to Chinese, then back to Japanese at the very end. Unbelievable!! Loved your reaction, as always!

Those notes he _doesn't_ sing at the very end are absolutely everything. His expression, the almost reluctant way he seems almost unable or unwilling to find any more words or even sounds.

He's failed. His lover went away, in spite of all the ways he pleaded with them to stay. He's mourned it with those soft little runs, and then there's just... nothing left. Only regret and silence as the music finishes.

Just breathtaking.

This my favorite version of this song. I’m amazed at how he can control his listeners at the end. I love how he ended this version. So, for me, the Japanese version is the most emotional and heart wrenching. Always enjoy your comments. Bev
