Renovation of a 100 year old apartment - The hole

This video shows the solution to a serious problem of house statics. During the excavation, a considerable hole was formed in the outer wall of the house. It turned out to be a very poorly built part of the wall, with no foundations. Directly under the walls are abandoned septic tanks, which unfortunately were not properly filled in. They were filled with rubble, gravel, broken tiles and rubbish, which meant they would have to be emptied before pouring the concrete. A good part of the septic tank under the most critical section was excavated.
After that, armature and molds were installed on the outside. The concrete was poured in three steps. First along the bottom of the septic tank, and later the part that connected the intermediate wall and the bottom. Finally, the part between the outer wall and the foot was poured. At the same time, a foot was also poured at the junction of the house and the garage.
The foot will be cast on every 2 meters of the outer wall, due to poor condition. The feet will be connected to each other by armatures and will be cast into the wall. This process would be much faster and easier if we didn’t run into old septic tanks.
