Harrison Roach's 3 Board Test

Показать описание
Whenever the QLD points are lined up you’ll usually see Harrison Roach doing laps on a longboard or his signature mid-length the Big Baron. But during the rest of the year, he’s got a more diverse quiver than ever to make the most of whatever waves are on offer.
With another favourite local spot lighting up recently, Harry grabbed three boards in our three different constructions to find the strengths of each. He's
Board one, the Golden Child in standard PU carbon fusion. 6'6" x 18 7/8" x 2 1/2" x 31.1L. Based on Parko’s favourite original file from 2009, but with cutting edge influence from 2024 on the deck roll and rails. The Golden Child is ridden approximately 1-2 inches longer than your regular everyday shortboard, and either the same width or 1/8” narrower.
In this case Jason decided to make Harry a 6’6’” as a slightly longer step up, but also as he enjoys a longer rail line anytime there’s room to use it. And as Harry puts it – he’s a long boarder!
Board two, the Xero Gravity in CarboTune. 5’9” x 19” x 2 5/16” x 27L. Xero Gravity is the next in line of our favourite all-rounders ever. Ridden the same dimensions as your Monsta Box, with the same magic rocker, this is your everyday board in a wide range of conditions.
Board three, the Xero Fusion in HYFI3. 5'7" x 19 1/4" x 2 5/16" x 26.8L. A performance oriented, user friendly model for flatter faced waves, Xero Fusion is positioned between the Xero Gravity all-rounder and the Sub Xero super groveller. This is our latest small wave weapon to fill an essential role in any surfer’s quiver.
