With that many takes I'm getting an idea why it took two years between seasons. Can't wait to get home and start binging this weekend.

I misread the title ''The Tragic of working with David Fincher''

Although Fincher is one of my personal favorite directors, I think it's a bit unfair of McCallany to give him 100% credit for the success of Mindhunter. What about the writers, directors, actors, composers, everyone else involved? Not all the ideas that make Mindhunter a fantastic show come from Fincher, and I can't imagine from what I've seen that Fincher finds this level of praise in any way flattering, but rather the opposite. Film is a collaborative medium, and many, including Holt and the other actors deserve credit for their work on Mindhunter.

If you do ten set ups for a scene and do a reasonable average of 5-10 takes per set up, you come up easily with around 100 repetitions of that scene. But those are not takes. So the whole 100 takes myth with Fincher is just jive I guess.
