Repairing a DESTROYED MacBook Pro, what could go wrong?

Oh no! A MacBook has been destroyed in LEGO City! Time to call in the repair guy with the iFixit Pro Tech Toolkit! This Late 2013 retina MacBook Pro has certainly seen better days, but we hope that the days to come will be an improvement. Today we'll take this mangled, destroyed MacBook Pro and fix it!

However, I’d sure like to see a cost breakdown on the parts you ordered from FleaBay versus the going price of a nice condition comparable model to see if it is actually a wise choice to rebuild or to just salvage the parts.

These Late 2013 15" Retina MacBook's really hold up to time. These things breeze through web browsing and day to day tasks. I was able to pick one of these up locally for $200 and there's no way any $200 windows laptop even compares to these. Sad to see it wont be supported in Mac OS Monterey though.

I have noticed that the Magsafe port has a bit of some thermal layer to prevent overheating.I realised this after I cleaned it considering it "goop" and the port and charger got destroyed due to excessive heating
