Use a Free Plugin to Locally Load Google Fonts after Removing them | OMGF Local Fonts

I use Autoptimize and it's well known that I super-pump up the Mobile Page Speed Score by removing Google Fonts - yet we do need those fonts otherwise our Elementor Live Pages won't match the Edit Page.

Let's use the awesome FREE Plugin OMGF to locally and automatically load the fonts that we use in the simplest way I could find.

I keep promoting that you need to remove GoogleFonts to speed up loading time of your site - but unless you want to have Roboto everywhere - then you need to follow this guide!

Imran, if I'm not mistaken, these fonts can be set for local loading in Elementor free. Possibly no need for the extra plugin ?

Hi, first I've uploaded the needed fonts in elementor. After that, I realized if I want to use the same fonts as before, but the uploaded version, I have to change the font type inside elementor on every single page, block by block. That's terrible. (changing global fonts doesn't modify existing texts)
Now I activated OMGF, but it is not working. I get this error message: OMGF encountered an error while downloading Google Fonts: rest_no_route - No route was found matching the URL and request method.
Is it needed to upload the fonts in the plugins folder?

Should we save and optimize fonts before removing google font or after removing google fonts?

I tried using the OMGF, but had one issue. It won't bring in one of the condensed fonts. It's just Open Sans condensed which should be common, but it doesn't detect it. Any ideas? Is there a way in this plugin to add a font that it isn't picking up?

Plugin plugin plugin...I hate it. Why not you do without plugin. You can host any font locally directly in your WordPress directory. Do you really know how fast those third party plugins' server load your fonts? It is bad to use plugin for fonts.
