I used to use Big Lots for canned goods. The local one carries very little food anymore. With a dollar general, and a family dollar. Both much closer. Seldom use big lots anymore.

The last Big Lots I shopped in was 2012.

Yes. I went in big lots yesterday in my location. I went in everything was on clearance. They told me that 2 stores are closing in 6-8 weeks. I believe the online shopping is what pulling these retailers out. Like Amazon. I like big lots. They have better competitive prices. These other newer retailers prices are too high with cheap materials. Big lots material is better like the old days.

All I can say is good riddance. The store near me had regular poor quality items at a very high price. Their quality changed alot and their cleanliness was bad. The stores back in 2004 hit differently 😅
