The best part of being a hobbyist who isn’t a perfectionist is that I can just kinda be like “I guess that looks cool. We’re going with that”

Why drawing gloves is impossible:
1. I can't draw hands
2.I also can't draw folds

I have scoliosis so the unbalanced character’s torso actually looks pretty similar to mine. Maybe if the torso you draw turns out uneven you can just say the character has scoliosis.

Another weakness a lot of artists have are color values. You have picked colors, but if you turn the image gray, you can see that everything is the same value which makes the drawing very flat. You might also wanna check your values now and then, Towne.

Character design tip I do:
When I make a character, I start with a defining feature. Ex: If I can't figure out clothing, I'll move on to hair. How can the hair define them? Then I'll conclude: oh, they have neat pigtails, it gives a cutesy vibe so I'll go with kawaii themed clothes!.
Hope it makes sense and helps
