Kaleb, for someone whose doesn’t like mason work so much you do an awesome job. Props!

I see I’m not the only one to comment on how good your masonry work looks in spite of your saying you don’t necessarily enjoy it. Well, the love you have for your home shows through in the dedication to correcting the mistakes of former owners. That wall is looking amazing! You can really see the difference in the areas you’ve cleaned up with that needle scaler. Thanks as always for taking g us in this wonderful journey with you. Take care.

Kaleb, your thoroughness in rehabbing this lovely house makes me so proud. You’d think I was related to you but I believe it boils down to not knowing many young men who have this much drive and compassion to fulfill a project of this magnitude; and I selfishly want to share this moment in time. Keep going, you are truly an inspiration to many watching…from PA.

I wouldn't mind seeing some more stonework because I love the walls being done, it looks so amazingly clean and sturdy and makes the basement a bit homelier and more convenient.

Your basement walls look so amazing. Cannot get over the transformation. Beautiful. Your period consistent, downstairs shower is superb. Thank you for taking us along on your journey.

Just a suggestion, it would be nice, at the start of a season, to show the entire floor as it was, and how it has progressed, to give to viewer a feeling of how much has been accomplished as this has been so great!

That void was maybe a clean out for the fireplace. Would’ve had a metal access door. Our basements are a lot alike and most of ours are still intact and looks a lot like this. But lookin good.

You have made wonderful progress on that wall! I would imagine that area might have been for the coal storage which would “leave its mark” on the foundation. Every step you take is one more closer to you having achieved your aim of restoring this historic home. I’m cleaning out the Family Home of 52 years and you inspire me to accomplish something every day, to look at what I HAVE done. Enjoy the Spring weather as you work outside. 🌷

One day, I hope to see your house on tour of important historic homes in St Louis. Wow, a brass quail faucet for the outdoor hose. Everything you do is to perfection. Thanks for the consideration of keeping yourself safe on the lift. Your basement stone is increasingly becoming quite attractive so your work is well appreciated.

is so that little meow is precious! Wow, what a neat tool that needle glad you are careful, and yes, leave the stone colored, for me it's just "character lines" in a face :).

My first thought was is was an basement oven for bread baking. The coal chute behind next to it most likely explains the black stone. You've done an incredible job. You're so patient!!!
