Short answer: No.
Some media members are tough on him but many give him a pass. If any other coach had as many failures as him then they would be scrutinized endlessly.

I've been watching the 49ers since the early 80s and the media was much harder on every coach before Shanahan. He and his dad must have a lot of friends in the media.

Kyle plays his cards close to his chest and sometimes they ask questions that are fishing for what they ASSume and I don’t blame him sometimes for being snappy, then again sometimes hard questions deserve an honest answer

Not even remotely hard on Shanahan. There's exactly 1 reporter who doesn't carry pom poms into the press room ffs (Cohn) & the team can't even handle that.
