I bought a MG Midget last month, and Im waiting for her delivery and to take her for a drive
We start with me waiting for my 72 mg midget all the way through a rollercoaster of emotion!

Yes, it turned up. I couldn't wait, and sure enough our first drive in "Margo" was one hell of an experience...

Next will be repairing the Heater Adjustment Valve, and removing a rogue piece of plastic from the water temp gauge.
My first ever bit of mechanic work!!

It won't spoil your fun of ownership and I'm not being a doom monger but that heater tap will also probably weep at some stage (and the alternative one 'made with the original tooling') but often so little that you can put up with it and it shouldn't need any topping up of the coolant from that weep. You had your first introduction to some of the modern made parts quality. After 25+ years of old British car ownership I can give warts and all.
