Gillette Mach3 v. Mach3 Turbo | Day 8 #ShaveWars

Day 8 of my Mach3 v Mach3 Turbo shave-off.

The Mach 3 and Mach 3 Turbo would be perfect if they had an edger on the back for under the nose. I will pick up a Turbo next time. Mach 3 is my favorite overall. Even over the Fusion, ProGlide and ProShield. Good video.

In terms of cartridge razor, the Mach 3 Turbo is the best out there in my opinion, even when compared to the normal Mach 3. It's not aggressive to the skin, do not nicks, no micro-cuts, no ingrown hairs and it is very smooth. I have tried all the Fusion lines and the Shick/Wilkinsons Hydro 3 and Hydro 5. One particular thing to note is that the Mach 3 Turbo cartridge last me and stays sharp much longer (talking about 4-6 months) than any other cartridge razor, based on 2-3 shaves per week. Nowadays i only use the One Blade to trim my beard and the Mach 3 Turbo for headshaves. I'm slowly getting rid of my Braun Electric razors lol!

I used a Mach 3 Turbo when I was cartridge shaving several years ago….mainly DE shave these days. Still use the Mach to get the hard-to-get spots (5 %) that my DE razor has a hard time getting….lower neck…nose area….chin area. I use a Mach 3 cartridge but don’t use the Gillette handle. I bought an Edwin Jagger (Sheffield, England) Mach 3 handle in nickel medal and ivory…and it.s gorgeous…a little heavier…and feels more solid in your hand. It costs $40 but is well worth it…will last for years. It just puts that plastic/rubber Gillette handle in the shade. They also have it with solid nickel and another with a black ebony handle.

Are the shaves you are getting on day 8 still close shaves?
Watching day 8 video, now, and doesn't look to me if the blades are still shaving as close.
Maybe still getting smooth, nick-free shaves, but blades are not shaving as close as they were in the beginning?

Mach3 turbo for me is the winner! For you? But for my head i prefer gillette fusion proglide flexball or gillette skinguard and mach3turbo! 👍

I don’t know why, I feel better with the regular Mach 3. Mach 3 Turbo irritates my skin much more than the regular Mach 3. I do 3-pass shave every day.
