The Department of Education & My Mildly Spastic Thoughts

I wanted to share that this is a journey... it's been a while since I recorded for you all, and my ability to focus has been a real challenge (side effects of managing my son's chemo treatments and life in general at the moment).

Today was meant to be a research day on the last 4 years of work done by the U.S. Department of Education, but I found myself lost in thoughts and emotions and struggling with the research.

Our country has a problem. Our education system is broken, and it needs to be fixed. It's been this way for a long time, and we keep acting like ostriches, sticking our heads in the sand so we don't see the problem. Teachers have been screaming about it for years, for decades. I have many thoughts and many concerns.

I also am trying to do my part to support teachers and students everywhere I can. I have so many ideas, and I want to help, but I find myself overwhelmed by all of the options and possibilities. I want to do EVERYTHING to help improve our system and make education everything it SHOULD be for our children and our teachers.
