Asking if I'd prefer my coins graded by NGC or PCGS is similar to choosing between an Endoscopy or Cystoscopy.

Excellent video. Yes I was spitting feathers when I revived the email showing the 67 grade. Would conservation of the coin help at all with the spotting?

When some of my proof sovs achieved PF69 rather than 70, I've louped them more critically and then understand why they graded that way. Usually faint hairlines and "star/comet" type marks in the fields that look more like manufacturing faults but could somehow be capsule contact marks over 20, 30 or 40 years of rattling around. Then again, I've had PF70's where I could see hairlines under magnification. As Dave says, it's like splitting hairs.

Dave, can your conservation techniques remove silver milk spotting?

Had a few 69 grading on 5oz coins but it doesn't detract from the coin imo .I grade coins to protect them for the future 😊
