Israel's Secret Attack Hints at Bigger Plans

Показать описание
Will Israel move into southern Lebanon or hope the Hezbollah problem resolves itself?
Today we look into the ongoing war on Israel's northern front. Hezbollah has long had a confrontational stance with Israel but this recent uptick in violence began on October 8th, one day after the Hamas attack into Israel. Hezbollah's actions have forced nearly 100,000 Israeli civilians to displace for nearly a year now and Netanyahu just added their return as a core aim of the war. In recent days we've seen increased preparation in the north and just yesterday, Israel appears to have carried out one of the most precise and widespread covert attacks in history. Nearly 4,000 pagers were intercepted in the supply chain and outfitted with a small explosive charge that detonated after they were in use by Hezbollah operatives across Lebanon. Today that trend continues as there are early reports of walkie-talkies exploding as well.
Does this mean that Israel is primed for an offensive action to push Hezbollah back from the border, or is it another tit-for-tat move with the hopes that a larger war can still be avoided?
