We Got #1 in the Biggest Jalopy! Kinda…

We were invited to compete in the 2025 Matt's Offroad Games, and let's just say... we brought the party. The theme of the games was "Jalopy Jeeps" which pretty much means to build and bring whacky weird offroad rigs. We blew the competition out of the water on that subject. Then we broke the rig, fixed the rig, and broke another rig. What a weekend.

The higher backseat is reminiscent of an original Jalopy, the Clampett's "Truck". Many people never realize that it was a 1921 Oldsmobile Model 43-A Roadster that was modified to become a Truck by Jed Clampett.

And Granny Clampett never had a roll cage around her rocking chair.

You had one of the few “real” jalopies, made from scratch, out there. It is cool and reminds me of the old Ford Model “T’s” with the rear passengers high up in the air. My mom rode in those old high rear seats and said it was scary! ❤😎
