GE Percolator Coffee Pot - Diagnosis & Repair

In this video we look at this awesome vintage GE percolator that came in for repairs. The customer's complaint was that the coffee pot would not heat up. Additionally, it suffered damage in shipping which was most likely not directly caused by the delivery process. Rather, it was most likely an existing issue that failed completely as a result of packaging and shipping. Apparently, one of the heat resistant legs shattered and needed to be repaired as well. We documented the damage, hypothesized the cause, and formulated and effect repair process.

This was an enjoyable project because it demonstrated numerous problems that can occur, and the logical steps in developing a repair process for this particular device. There is always new things to learn when servicing vintage appliances!
