How to Create a Trading Robot in the MQL5 Wizard of MetaTrader Platforms

Even if you are not a programmer, you still may develope your own trading robots and technical indicators in MetaTrader Trading Platforms. Using MQL5 Wizard you can assemble a robot without writing a single code string.

Guys, just a warning. Learn about trading, learn about technical analysis, and come up with trading systems before you do this. If you just open up a wizard, slap on a few indicators/parameters and then "optimize" for best hindsight values without any idea of what the actual technical patterns are in price movements, you're going to come up with trash. But with the right understanding, and maybe some programming skill, this stuff is very very powerful. That's not to say backtesting optimization can't be useful, it's just that you can take any amount of historic data and bruteforce a bunch of different combinations of trade trigger/management parameters and always come up with something that works best on that data set, but it won't work well in the future if it's just a dumb optimization like that. It has to be based on something that actually is a technical pattern in the markets which is why you need to learn this stuff first.

Very nice video unfortunately when you run this in the tester, it doesn't work properly. On top of some parameters of the indicators can't be modified. I run into errors like not enough money when there is money, there is a total disconnectiontion between the free margin in the account and the free margin that the program thinks it exists. The problem with metatrader is that nobody know what is the tester or libraries doing behind the curtains. I manage to do better bots than these and while the scripts has all the fail-safe features, for some reason behind the curtain the program decides to take money from the balance during backtest without any order being executed or pending, or applies leverage randomly to some trade. Very odd behaviour.
