Android Studio Tutorial - Order Foods Part 23 (Fixed Crash FButton on newest Android Studio)

In the past few days, I've received a lot of FButton error messages that crashed on the latest Android Studio (3.0 and now 3.0.1). I have researched and found that the new Android Studio uses the new Gradle Build Tool, which is in conflict with the FButton library

Today, in this video, I will show you how to fix FButton crash on the latest Gradle build tool (4.1), and upgrade, fix minor bugs in Server App.

I'm on part 1 but was told to switch here to fix crash. But after following along until 7:35 ..I get a failed build.
Reads:
Manifest merger failed : uses-sdk:minSdkVersion 15 cannot be smaller than version 17 declared in library as the library might be using APIs not available in 15
Suggestion: use a compatible library with a minSdk of at most 15,
or increase this project's minSdk version to at least 17,
or use to force usage (may lead to runtime failures)

Please help...so lost.

after finishing last video (part 22) i still had a few errors but wanted to move on... so now after finishing this video some of those errors are also "magically" fixed.

1. FIXED... (Client + Server Side) Since the beginning of this tutorial I had a problem with FButton
  - button colors where always standard blue and couldn't change them
- also if I added the line app:shadowEnabled="true" and/or app:cornerRadius="5dp" the app always crashed
2. FIXED... (Client Side) The bug that appeared in video 22, making the cart show full and not closing after placing order.
3. FIXED... (Client Side) The TOAST about succesfully placing an order now shows up.

only bug now left is that I still cant get or send any nothifications from either side. Maybe this is because of newer Library version or changes in the library code.

Since this is my first attempt in coding and I don't know anything about it I will wait for an answer of someone who already solved this problem to explain it to me.
