Here we talk about 10 different ways to make money with small scale mushroom farming. Small scale mushroom farms have been increasing in popularity lately, and a lot of people are leaving their job to chase the dream of being a fungi peddler.

1. Growing and selling mushrooms. This is pretty straight forward, just grow and sell mushrooms to farmers markets, restaurants, or supermarkets!

2. Using fresh mushrooms to produce a secondary items. Mushroom jerky, powder, or even mushrooms chips! Mushroom House in New Zealand is doing this and produce some really tasty chips, check them out!

3. Make and sell mushroom grow kits. Kits are being sold worldwide, but if you can create a good product you can defiantly take some of this market. Below are a few kits available on amazon!

4. Starting a mushroom culture bank. If you grow mushrooms you will almost certainty keep your own culture bank. It's not too difficult to offer these for sale to the public! especially if you have some unique strains. We have our own unique Pleurotus Parsonsiae strain which is the best performing in the world!

5. Selling spawn online. If you make your own spawn, then it is not hard to offer this to the public also. Just make sure it's not contaminated!

6. Producing medicinal mushroom products. There are a few companies which do this already, and I have listed some below. If you can create a good product, then you can definatly take some of the medicinal mushroom pie!

7. Selling mushroom growing supplies. This can ear you a few extra dollars, especially if you stock a wide range of a specific product. If you find your niche then you can make it work.

This next three require more skill.

8. Manufacturing high quality mushroom growing equipment. Myers Mushrooms do this, and he's created some high quality items like mushrooms baggers and flow hoods.

9. Offer mushroom growing courses. If you have a good depth of knowledge and know how to grow mushrooms, then offer courses!

10. Start a YouTube! This is difficult, and does not give you much profit.. I have been doing mine for over a year and still cannot monetize it. I do it for the love!
