That's any high end car service, over charged for a dirt cheap part, thats why its good to know how to fix your own car or have friends that can help you

This is why I want to become a supercar mechanic because I can charge a reasonable price and still make a ton of profit.

Car manufacturers hardly make money on the sale. They make money on parts. Elon Musk learned that early on.

thats not just bugatti, that's every dealership. Befriending a mechanic is a must in life besides from befriending a lawyer and an accountant.

The glovebox broke in my 911. Porsche quoted me $4500. The advisor slipped me a business card for an interior guy in the area. Took care of it for $600

only time a bugatti goes back to bugatti is for new tires. Everyone else can fix an overpriced vw for less than bugatti. That switch is in every modern audi and vw. Don't pay bugatti tax

i called a local toyota dealership for the headlight assembly wiring harness. both sides with connectors( 4 pig tails each side for lowbeam, hibeam, turn signal and fog lamps) almost $1000. same parts off another salvage car for $70

They charge you more at brand named places because they think if you can afford the car you are rich so will be less likely to squabble about what you get charged to fix something.

I experienced this exact same thing, obviously on a smaller scale, with my Mazda.
I bought Mazda from the local dealer and they serviced it for five years.
18 months ago, I took it in to them because the park brake button was broken and was dropping below the centre console panel.
I asked them for the price to fix/replace that part. They quoted me $2, 548 for the part and an additional $500 to fit it.

Once they printed out the quote, with the part number on it, I went home and searched for it on eBay. I found the exact same part from an online car wreck yard (nearly brand new) for $180.
After watching a 2 minute YouTube video, I replaced the part in about another 2 minutes.

I have never been back to the car dealer.
