Great video. I can understand why Bethesda couldn't put everything that's in Arlington in the game because in terms of size, Arlington National Cemetery is larger than Disneyland

very well worded and put together, also would to to see more fact vs fallout, especially the historical side.

If you've never been to Arlington, I highly recommend it. It's a beautiful place and a sobering experience.
I had the honor of laying a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier when I was in the Boy Scouts.

Great job on the video man. Thanks for going on these trips to make these videos on the locations of these games.

As a currently serving member of the Army Reserves, I thank you for taking the time to put together the script and record this video, even if it is short, it still highlights a very important location here in the States that I believe a lot of people should visit and pay their respects to the fallen that paid the ultimate sacrifice for the freedom of America and her allies.

Great idea for a series. Hope you get to do more like this, especially the historical side of things. Thumbs up! 👍

I live a stone’s throw from Arlington National Cemetery, I love the justice that you did the location

thanks for the great video. Loved to hear about the history and the place. My Dad, in the 50's played Taps at Arlington for a year or two. Very proud of him and hope to visit Arlington and Boston as well.

Considering the location of Arlington is just north of the Pentagon/Citadel and west across the river from the Lincoln Memorial, I think that what Bethesda might have done is "cheat" the position of either the cemetery or the Pentagon slightly. A small part of the graveyard could have been on the map, with the bulk of it beyond the map edge/part of the skybox, perhaps blocked off by a fence.

I think this is your best and most sad video

Perhaps I'm partisan at this stage, but this is strong material indeed. Your videos only show to me upon clicking 'subscriptions' in the sidebar. There are others too that only appear there. Healthcare Triage only ever shows there, and Big Think always has a few videos missing from the recommend list, with them found only once in 'subscriptions'. A real nemesis it must be gaining initial currency on here.

i really hope it seems that bethesda was lacking attention to detail for the other parts of the game, or time restrictions or things like that. i understand that perfectly making D.C. would be close to impossible for the day, budget, and story they wanted to tell. its a beautiful city and i wish they were able to do it a little more justice

Would definitely like more videos like this.

Fantastic video Grey, I've wanted for a long time to see videos bridging the gap, between the real world locations and the fantasy counterparts. As far as Fallout 3 goes I have 2 things I would've Really liked but was ultimately disappointed by, The First being that the Tomb of the unknown Soldier should have DEFINITELY been included and while in game in shouldn't look prestine I don't think the memorial should've been excluded or destroyed. Building on that I think there should've been a secondary element to the quest with Hannibal to find the memorial and be able to have members of his group patrol the monument. The tomb of the unknown soldier is not for a single soldier, sailor, airman, marine, Coast guardsman but for all of the unidentified members of the military who lost their lives. Secondly I agree that the cemetery should have been bigger in scale. One thing I will say is that regardless of what type of character I'm playing when I go to the in-game area I Always put my weapons away and take a few moments to reflect. I know these videos take time but I definitely want to see more of these type of format videos from this channel. Keep up the hard work man. As of this post there are 740 Graves in FALLOUT 3, in the Real World at the time of this post there are 400, 000 Graves.

Arlington National Cemetery should be sacred to all but our enemies. Most of those deaths happened on foreign soil, defending our allies.

No matter how bad Bethesda did Arlington National Cemetery in Fallout 3, let us thank Todd for adding it in at all, and making it one of the few locations where the fauna of the wasteland (Ghouls) doesn’t exist. THAT would’ve been a massive disrespect to the men and women of America’s armed forces who have died over the years defending this nation.

I have always wanted to visit Arlington National, I have yet to do so. I always figured every American should.
