Predator 224 vs 212 Hemi
Did some 0 to 30 and top speed runs with the Hemi Predator-powered Coleman CC100X minibike . Swapped out the Hemi Predator for a Predator 224 and repeated the same runs to see if there were any gains in performance.

Learned so much from you that I started my life into mini bikes and a YouTube channel thanks for the amazing content you provide for us all over the world.

I bet that 224 which I have chosen for my phatmoto build would be a torque monster with a high comp piston and all the normal safety mods

I'm running a 3.4 gear ratio on my 224 and it feels amazing, wouldn't mind seeing something in the 3s on that 224

honestly, I was kind of afraid to watch this one...I would have been pissed if I had spent all that money building a big bore stroker, only to find a hemi212 could beat it...very relieved to see the results, and to also see the bike can pull more gear

do these little bikes feel stable/controllable doing 60mph...the fastest I've been on my stage 1 TM MB200-2 is 43mph and it felt pretty smooth... I don't have either my 80cc MM80, or my 200cc MM80, up and running yet...and my MM212 with the 223cc engine still needs the VM22 carb tuned (still waiting on jets) so it's not running so rich...

I noticed you had the increased dwell time rockers installed in the 224. is the cam stock or updated?

I've only seen the 212 with a hemi, where do you even get one without? Are they older models that didn't use the hemi? I went with the 224 today before watching this video. Glad I made the choice I did

Do you know if the 224 fits the Bt-200x? I’m hoping my torque converter fits the 224 also. Thanks! Great channel, subed!

Hey black66 what bracket are you using to put the hydraulic brake on the cc100x? I cant figure out which one will work

I cant wait finally be able to put my 224 back together still waiting on some parts the only thing staying stock on my 224 is the block and crank. Hey black will do you a video comparing stock 1.1 rockers to the stamped 1.3s or 1.3s on the mod2 to prove how much power you gain with just the rockers alone if they are roller or stamped 1.3 is 1.3 the mod2 really was a great designed mild cam that can easily make some wild power.. in your 224 you still have "small valves" 27, 25 and with smaller valves you really need that lift to get the most out of that head plus a 109.8 lsa power band is mid to higher rpms with 245 duration help make power passed 6-7000 rpms ideally you want that mod2 engine turning 8, 8500 rpms to get the most out of that cam with 1.3 ratio rockers and a minimum of 10.1 compression i personally gun for 12.1 -12.5.1 to bring back some of the low end torque lossed by adding big duration big lift with low piston speeds of shes a sneaky little beast making minimum 18-22hp and does so very reliably on 93 octane at 32° of timing past 6k a 36° of timing would probably be better and help pick up a couple more hp on the top end but still a very very strong power band all the way to 8k

The old adage is still true…….there is no replacement for displacement!

With the heavy duty rockers on the 224 do you think it's less prone to valve float? Is there a need for 18 lb springs?
