Ford Fiesta Acceleration 0-100 & Sound Test 2013

Here we have the brand new Ford Fiesta (MK7) 1.25 from the model year 2014 facelift. We test the acceleration of 0-100 km/h and make a sound test. This 1.25l engine is available in two configurations. We drive the small version with 44 KW / 60 PS. The top speed is specified to work at 152 Km / h. So this car is not very fast. But for city driving and on the road is it sufficient. If you want better performance, you should take the 1.25l 60kW/82PS engine. If that is not enough, choose a 1.0l Ecoboost with up to 125 hp or takes the Ford Fiesta ST 1.6l Ecoboost turbo and 182 hp.

These old school 1.25s still offer far more enjoyment for me than the 1.0 Ecoboost things.

The version I've got with 82 ps is slow enough haha, but I enjoy it - Great little car.

What do people expect it's not a Aston Martin! Actually pretty powerful for a small car

Weird how the acceleration is dying after the 3rd gear... 0-100 is not that bad !

That small displacement engine isn't available here in Australia. We have 1.6 litre petrol and turbo diesel engined versions, as well as the ST model, with the 1.6 litre Ecoboost engine.
I've driven a 1.6 litre non turbo petrol manual 5 door hatch. I managed to get 10.14 seconds from standstill to 100 km/h. Adequate performance, but not a rocketship.
The satisfaction from driving a Fiesta is from the handling and driver involvement. I guess you have to adopt the mindset of overlooking straight line performance in favour of the dynamics, in the case of either 1.2 litre models.

My fiesta is a 2014 Facelift model Titanium. It runs a 1.4 litre engine (1388cc actually) with 71kW / 96hp. It's very aggressive on start up and it's 1st and 2nd gear are accelerating quite good. It's 3rd gear ratio is much bigger and you can't speed up easily. So i need a Turbo or a Supercharged engine :P

Oh, I almost forgot! We've had the 1.4 litre automatic, too. But currently, with the new models, it's a choice of 1.5 non turbo, and Ecoboost 1.0 and 1.6 petrols. The 1.6 turbo diesel is no longer available here.

More than enough for everyday's use. You find it slow? Buy the 80-100-125 cv.

Why does it indicate that you change the change to 6, 000? It tells me that I must change gears at 2, 300, there the light comes on indicating that I must change gears.

the car emits a slight whistle when accelerating from 1:28 minute. Why?

Go to a chiptuner and remove the software limit. Car will have 85hp just like the 82hp with the tune. Both engines are pretty identical as far as i can tell, just diff. gear  ratio.

Is there any difference other than the map from 60 to 82? can it be remaped to 82? is there any visual difference in the enginebay?

My Ford Fiesta 1.25 82 is very bad on fuel despite driving economically. I drove 30 miles and it used a quarter of a tank of petrol is the good or bad ?

What’s the difference between the 60 and 82 versions, bigger engjne ?

I own a ford fiesta and its very very fast so for all of you guys saying slow hop into a ferrari go from 0-60 and then into a ford fiesta from 0-60 there will be no difference in feeling.
And very true as this ford is slow and the ford goes a lot faster than this he should have reached 193 kilometres half way through that run i don't know if the driver was keeping to the speed limit or not plus it might have been the first model which is very slow and has a restricted speed limiter on it i had mine de limited and its a hell of a lot faster 0-60 in 6.497 seconds confirmed on the machine thingy
