2019 CITROËN C5 AIRCROSS - Unveiling & World Premiere | 8 mins | Paris Motor Show 2018
Plug-in version of new range-topping C5 Aircross SUV will arrive on sale next year with 222bhp Citroen has previewed its first ever plug-in hybrid vehicle at the Paris Motor Show with a thinly veiled concept version of the upcoming C5 Aircross PHEV. Officially, the car on Citroen’s Paris stand is called the Citroen C5 Aircross SUV Hybrid Concept, but it’s hardly a concept in appearance. Our show images reveal that it looks like any other member of the firm’s flagship SUV line-up, with only a show livery and blue accents on some of the Airbump panels differentiating it. Not due on sale until 2019, the production version of the C5 Aircross PHEV will be one of the first PSA group vehicles on the company’s relatively new EMP2 platform to gain plug-in hybrid technology. It’ll arrive alongside PHEV versions of the new Peugeot 508 saloon and the DS 7 Crossback, which is expected to debut at the show.
