The acting in this scene was award worthy. It showed why they worked. Chuck and Blair know who eachother is. They both know they can be equally cruel and they both know the lengths they would go to for the other. No matter who else they claim to love or how unhealthy their relationship gets its always eachother. They love eachother, they hate eachother but its always eachother.

I love how every single conversation they have always have double meanings. Also Blair has always lied to herself about her feelings for Chuck, between the both of them she can hide it really well when it came to her self-preservation. Chuck has always either hated her or loved her, never anything less. Which is why I found it ironic when Gossip Girl called Chuck a coward & Blair a weakling during 2x25, I always thought it was the other way around

Back then I remember I absolutely hated the constant back and forth (quite frankly, I still do) but on a logical level, I understand why they had to go through all of that. Chuck was extremely unstable and with the writers insisting of making them endgame to satisfy the fans, he needed to through those rough periods. Again, I get that on an intellectual level but no amount of rationalizing can get me to finish seasons 3-6. Like I truly cannot.

Chuck: "believe me, if you would, I would come running back to make you feel guilty for ever breaking up with me and play mind games, but until then I prefare to pretend like I don't care about anything. It gives me the bad boy vibe"
Blair: "okay then, let's make a deal: we both will pretend we don't care and you will have the bad boy vibe but you will have it from your rich hotel. That way if my prince dissapoints you and I could hate/love each other publicly"
