Why Space Looks Black: Cosmic Darkness Explained! #trendingnow #shorts
Показать описание
Space appears black because it is nearly a perfect vacuum, which means there is no atmosphere to scatter sunlight as there is on Earth. On Earth, the sky looks blue because our atmosphere scatters shorter wavelengths of light, like blue and violet, more effectively than others. In space, however, there's no medium like air to scatter light, so even though the sun emits light, it travels in straight lines without diffusing. The vast distances between objects also mean that there are very few sources of light visible to our eyes, making space look dark and empty. This is known as "cosmic darkness" or the "black sky paradox."
