Hong Kong’s new leader sworn in as Xi hails rule by ‘patriots’

China’s President has defended Beijing’s governing of Hong Kong since the handover from Britain 25 years ago.
Xi Jinping made the comments at the swearing-in ceremony of the territory's new leader.
It was Xi's first trip outside of mainland China since the COVID-19 pandemic started.
