Kenny’s Employment Message

Показать описание
Supporting Autistic Adults is Worthwhile; Leaving us Behind is Worth Less
As an autistic person with a history of mental health struggles, Kenny wants to leverage his personal experience to help his clients — both now as a peer support worker and in the future as he builds his studies in psychology and neurology into a career.
During Autism Acceptance Month, he wanted to share the message that autistic styles of communication are not lesser than the neurotypical norm. Much of autistic people’s struggles with employment, especially for those of us with lower support needs, come from trying to navigate a system that was not designed by or meant for us.
