The hunt is on after mystery monolith reappears near Las Vegas

A shiny mystery seems to have reappeared after Las Vegas Metro Police posted a picture on social media saying they found a mysterious monolith near Gass Peak over the weekend.

I think they are probably something used in the petroleum industry for oil or natural gas testing. The first three were all in petroleum rich basins, the paradox basin in utah, the basin in Romania in the Carpathian mountains, and the paradox basin again in Colorado (the basin is where the two states border each other). They are made from metal which would deflect the suns light and heat from whatever is inside.
