Surds Maths exam question
Rationalising the denominator by multiplying by the denominator by the same terms apart from a different sign. Have to multiply numerator too
(similar to difference of two squares and in further maths, complex conjugates)
root of a number squared equals that number, eg (root(3)) squared = 3
combine fractions by finding lowest common denominator
