What is a MOBA?

Multiplayer Online Battle Arenas, or MOBAs for short, originated as a sub-genre of the RTS (Real-Time Strategy) genre. Because of this, in most MOBA games, the player takes control of a single character from the isometric (top-down) view akin to most RTS games. Typically, in MOBA games, a player takes control of a single character on one of two teams. Those players choose characters that all have their own abilities, or “kits”. To win, the players must use a combination of abilities, teamwork, and strategy to not only best their opponent, but destroy the opponents main structures. A bonus to the genre is that most MOBAs are free games, which is definitely a contributing factor of the their massive success. The genre has many titles, the largest of which being Defense of the Ancients (DoTA) and DoTA 2, League of Legends (LoL), and most recently SMITE!

What is SMITE?

SMITE is one of the more recent free MOBA games to enter the fray. In SMITE you don’t just choose a character, you choose a god. You’ll instantly feel an attachment to characters like Thor and Zeus because even if you don’t know the lore behind them, you’ve at least heard their names before! What makes SMITE so immersive is Hi-Rez Studios’ inclusion of historical lore into the gods’ abilities, kits, and play styles. Thor and Loki aren’t just characters from Marvel comics and movies. They’re also a part of Norse mythology and you can take control of them in SMITE!

What makes SMITE different?

SMITE takes all of the strategy of the top MOBA games and adds another layer of difficulty by putting you into the action! Unlike most MOBA games, SMITE offers players the chance to experience the MOBA genre they know and love from a third-person perspective. This unique perspective allows for an extremely immersive experience unlike any other game in the genre. While this doesn’t sound like such a big change, once you play it you’ll understand! All of these things added together is what has gaming websites everywhere continually rating SMITE as one of the best MOBA games available!

Ravana’s ultimate should have been “shevas blessing” (I don’t know how to spell Sheva) and it makes him invincible to all gods for 5-10 seconds (but minions could still attack him)

Lord Ravanna is also called the most knowledgeable being on Earth. During the final battle he performed the prayer of victory for Lord Ram on the latter's request thus celebrating his own imminent death.

Like many others I love how the gods narrate their own lore! Keep that for future Reveals.
But again, like many others, I miss the LoreLady. Bring her back and have the gods narrate their own lore.

Ravan could be used even more badassly😂... He's like the perfect demon in real.... Demon lord with 10 heads, super genius in his Era, got kingdom of gold in an island middle of the sea, whole army of strong demons that can conquer the world if he liked, blessed with he can't ever be beaten or killed if he fought against God's or other demons but forget he can be beaten by human, like an ideal most similar type of demon lord from anime 😂perfectly balanced

As others are mentioning, I really miss the Lore Woman.. she had an odd serious, yet playful tone and was possibly the best part of the reveals.. I also miss the scroll compared to this new animation.

It's new, but I'd rather the old style. Loved the video as always though, keep up the good work!

No offence to the guys doing this, but I really miss The Lady of Reveal (that's what I'm going to call her from now on. you can't stop me). She's been doing it since I started playing this game and is pretty much a staple for me. I'm fairly good at getting the gist of gods pretty quickly and at some point I started watching the patch notes, so at this point I think I watch these videos for her more than anything. That and the fight examples. Speaking of, no offence to Mez (I think?) but although his shoutcasting is good for making action seem exciting, I had no idea what was happening in that portion of the video, whereas with The Lady of Reveal, I could follow everything really well and it gave me a better idea of how I'd want to use the god in a fight. Please bring Lady back.

I am rather amused at the fact that when the Lore Lady was doing the god reveals alot of people complained that she sucked and all that but now that she is gone almost everyone wants her back xD
That being said she is still the most fitted for the god reveals so please bring her back, or his she still in the hospital after being attacked by Ratatoskr ? :P

Wouldnt using his ultimate on the tank during a team fight screw over the enemy team completely? He could then focus down and block all attacks coming from the ADC and other inhanders (Assuming those dont phase through him), And gets basically guaranteed kills because of this since he will have done most or all of an enemies health by the time his ultimate runs out (If he targeted a low damage god with the ultimate), AND with a crit build he would definitly be able to kill people before his ultimate runs out, And he can use his second ability as soon as his ultimate runs out for even more invulnerabilty frames, just seems a bit overpowered from the reveal video o3o

Edit: Depends on how long the ultimate lasts really, 1-2 seconds might be okay but even then, still basically guarantees kills with a crit build (Again assuming he targeted a low damage god)
