Judge Amy Coney Barrett holds up blank notepad during confirmation hearing

Senator John Cornyn (R/TX) asked Amy Coney Barrett if she was referring to any notes during her second day of questioning before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Tuesday (10/13). She held up a blank notepad and replied the only thing on it was the letterhead "United States Senate."

Given the fact that she spent the majority of her career in academia, she shouldn't need any materials to refer to. She spent the majority of her career teaching law instead of practicing it. She should know this material inside and out. Besides that, the Republicans were asking her "softball" questions and the Democrats were expressing their fears about her getting on the Supreme Court, and rightfully so. So, far Roe v Wade...GONE! In conclusion, her comment was not impressive.
