Hanging wallpapers in living room

Here I go again with a little bit of DIY video, showing how my husband hanged two different wallpapers in the main living room of our farmhouse. I can´t say it was hard, because hubby is experienced, but it was also not easy when I saw the process. He painted the wall first before hanging the wallpaper to avoid a mismatch of color showing beneath or between the connecting lines. This is also to avoid getting any paint on the wallpaper if you intend to have painted walls on the other parts of the room as well.
But I can say that it was fun to choose the design and then seeing how the whole process was being done. We were satisfied after seeing the result. The living room exudes a different atmosphere. We used five rolls for the red wallpaper and three for the gray one. There were extra rolls unused– one roll for the gray one and two rolls for the red – that were necessary for us to keep in case of error or damage by accident. It was on purpose that we decided to buy extra rolls, even after measuring the walls, although we knew that it would add to the initial budget.
In Norway, many houses choose the conventional house paint inside, but it is also common to incorporate wallpapers as accent. Still, some use wallpapers in the whole four walls of a bedroom, for example.
Tip: Choose the design and quality that you want in a wallpaper. It does not have to be expensive as there are stores offering affordable wallpapers.
So, is it paint or wallpaper for you? For me, a combination is good!
6-word summary: Norwegian homes commonly use wallpapers, too
